Exploring World Wonders

Exploring World Wonders

Public Presentation of a Project on May 17

Why do world wonders make history and influence future generations? This question inspired my 10th and 12th-grade students to create public presentations and share their insights. Their curiosity was fueled by firsthand experiences: visiting Petra in Jordan, organized by the Mkhitar Sebastatsi Educational Complex; exploring a Hellenistic statue representing the Armenian goddess Anahit during the “Mother Goddess: from Anahit to Mary” exhibition at the History Museum of Armenia in cooperation with the British Museum; studying relevant texts in school textbooks; and taking advantage of available international travel opportunities, e.g. visiting Egypt to witness the grandeur of the pyramids. For instance, Satine Sahakyan, who lived in China for six years, had the unique chance to marvel at the Great Wall of China. These experiences enriched their understanding of history and culture while fostering a lasting appreciation for the wonders shaping our heritage.  More can be read on Nune Movsisyan's blog
