Sebastatsi Days: Anniversary Exhibition

During these 35th anniversary days of the Mkhitar Sebastatsi
Educational Complex, the Fine Arts Educational Center is presenting an
anniversary exhibition on November 22, at 12:00.
Works created within the projects “Yervand Kochar 125” and
“Parajanov 100” are exhibited here. These projects combine the results of
curriculum-based classes, master classes, plein airs, where students explored
Kochar’s innovative legacy and were inspired by Parajanov’s unique visual
poetry.
The exhibition features:
3D sculptures, installations, linocuts, and original
compositions made of plexiglass,
Jewelry,
ceramic decorative items,
cyanotype.
The students’ works are inspired by the cinematography of
Sergey Parajanov, as well as decorative arts, and the avant-garde experiments
of Yervand Kochar, which express the connection of generations, continuing the
dialogue of traditional and innovative characteristics of Armenian art.
The special guest of the exhibition is the Gyumri Academy of
Fine Arts, a friend and partner of the educational complex. They have presented
Arates plein-air series. The series was created during visits to the Arates
Schooling Center.
