Art in the Educational Complex
The art section of the "Arts and crafts" field of the state
standard of general education is organized by the state alternative, original
educational program implemented in the "Mkhitar Sebastatsi" Educational Complex:

In Grades
1-12 through the courses of general education music, dance training, fine
arts, design, and pottery; and through the educational projects of rituals, holidays, concerts, and exhibitions.

In grades 1-12, with
the activities of the courses of student's choice: painting, drawing,
composition, design-modeling, sculpture, jewelry, choral, vocal-instrumental,
theater, and film-photo.

With further educational programs in educational centers:
In the school of music and dance: piano, violin, flute, guitar, dance, vocal,
choir; in the school of fine arts: fine arts, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, modeling,
with various clubs, including "Sebastatsiner" teachers’, youth and
children's choirs. vocal-instrumental groups, sculpture clubs.
The training is organized in a specialized environment: in the studios of
fine art: painting, drawing, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, design, animation,
and also in the music auditoriums, exhibition halls, and concert halls. The
teachers are practicing artists. Workshops with well-known specialists in the
field are organized according to the academic calendar of the author
educational program.
The teaching-learning results are summed up with exhibitions, performances,
concerts, rituals, art and ethnographic annual festivals determined by the
educational calendar.
The Art Educational Center of the
"Mkhitar Sebastatsi" Educational Complex has announced the annual
"Art Festival" in the academic calendar of the educational complex.
The annual art festival is one of the unique tools of the author
pedagogy that accompanies the year-round educational process as a holiday, as
an indicator and result of the educational process. The festival serves as a
platform for the pedagogical creative community, partner educational
institutions, local and foreign independent artists to convey their unique
visions, the boundaries of artistic practice, to engage in meaningful dialogue
with learners, teachers, to provoke and transform the environment.
